Union  Divers    DOCKBUILDERS  1556

Lu 1556 is running our underwater welding classes starting in January

We now have a welding procedure in 1/8.

What this means is you no longer have to leave your welding certifications with your employer.
In the past when you passed an underwater welding procedure it was owned by who ever you passed it for. If you left that contractor you welding ticket stayed with them.
Now the UBC underwater welding procedure ticket can travel with you to any UBC contractor.
The UBC is now working on a 5/32 underwater welding procedure. This is in response to our NY and NJ contractors asking for.
The UBC is dedicated to our divers and is offering the best training available.

This is a message from the NYC Carpenters Training Center. There are seats now available for the Kirby Morgan Hat Technician Class at the CITF in Las Vegas, NV.  The available sessions are:
• May 21, 2018 to May 22, 2018
• May 24, 2018 to May 25, 2018
Registration for these sessions will be closing soon.  If you are interested in attending and can commit to the class, please contact Carlie Beshara at cbeshara@nycdcctc.org or 646-294-2201. Please know, to attend this class you must be a Commercial Diver with your dive certificate or your ADCI or ACDE on file with the CTC.  Divers with log books will be reviewed on an as needed basis.
All dues and assessments must be paid prior to registration.  All necessary forms must be filled out prior to registration.  Registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Thank you!
